Company Overview

Founded in 1987, Postec provides comprehensive forecourt and wet stock control systems for the Oil Industry. Postec’s systems architecture is based around the Postec Communication Controller (PCC), a proprietary robust hardware platform designed specifically for this purpose. This enables the PCC to provide virtually, unlimited connectivity to electronic forecourt devices without degrading the performance of the forecourt LAN.

An important part of the connectivity is the interfacing to the ever-increasing range of forecourt and point of sale equipment. This is another specialist area that Postec provides which in turn, enables Customers to select the most cost effective forecourt related applications, without the worrying about incompatibility.

Postec’s systems are regularly reviewed and upgraded in response to feedback from our customers, new associated technologies and our own innovative developments.

What sets Postec apart is its focus and specialisation on forecourt and wet stock control, two extremely important areas that are often just adjuncts to point of sale systems. Postec therefore believes that Wet Stock Systems should be evaluated separately to Dry Stock especially as wetstock accounts for between 60 and 90+% sales of most service station networks. This will enable the Customer to gain the maximum benefits from both systems.

Postec became a wholly owned subsidiary of Gilbarco Veeder-Root in 2009.
